San Francisco Road Trip: Day 1

Hey guys!
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been up in northern California enjoying a couple of days with the family. Because my youngest brother finished his finals and my oldest brother is taking a break from his residency, my parents decided to plan a road trip up to San Francisco (Which meant I got to skip a bit of school as well. : ) ). Unfortunately, the second brother was busy finishing up medical school so it was just the two of my brothers and my parents. But we'll definitely go again as a family, I'm sure. Many of these pictures were taken by my oldest brother. : ) Anyway, let's get on with the trip!
On Friday, we left around 9 am and stopped at a parish church in San Luis Obispo. I stretched and ate some banh bao (Vietnamese steamed buns) but I felt extremely guilty since I was technically not allowed to eat meat that day. My willpower went down the drain and I eventually gave in. Guilt has never tasted so good.
We then met up with my father's friend who owns a winery. I swear, I did not drink any wine! But it sure smelled good though.
I don't drink but cheese and grapes are a killer combo. The savory taste from the cheese and the sweet flavor from the grapes are amazing and I want everyone to try it. It makes going to a winery fun for the underage minors out there like me.
We finally drove to a hotel and ate at Hong Kong Chef. Overall, the food was pretty good but the environment was a bit noisy for my taste. From where I sat, the employees were washing the dishes which stirred up quite a racket.
Some extra photos can be seen on my instagram. My username is thubular so feel free to follow!
My future posts may be picture heavy so please bear with me!
Until then, goodbye and thank you for reading!

Theresa
